Roots of Mutual Sustenance
Tending Our Shared Dignity
We are a Durham hospitality program rooted in farm-to-care practices, built for neighbors tending a system that often leaves them out. By co-designing a regenerative ecosystem and sourcing from local farms, we work to bridge the gap between food and care.
We run training dinners where real food gets made, real service gets practiced, and real connections get built. Every dinner is a working kitchen and a community table at the same time. Trainees build skills in a real hospitality environment. Guests eat well and eat local. Everyone leaves having been part of something that feeds more than hunger.
We source from Durham farms. We train toward dignity. We believe the food system and the care system are deeply connected. Tend to one and you tend to the other.
Our Programs
We are a hyperlocal training kitchen where real food and relationships are nourished in the same regenerative Durham garden of work.
Good Soil
Centered in hospitality and mutual advocacy, we build sensory safe spaces where every neighbor belongs at the table.
Trellis to Table
Stipended work in our training dinners where farm-to-table food helps us bridge the gap to a more regenerative future.
Solar Power
Shifting toward agency by co-designing a food system where our queer and Asian community leads from the ground up.
