Nurturing Our Training Dinner
A warm, barrier-light community kitchen in Durham where slow hospitality meets ancestral soil.
What We’ve Done
We’ve centered hospitality in our neighborhoods by hosting dinners where queer and Asian culinary traditions meet local care. Through barrier-free roles and slow, intentional service, we have built a kitchen culture that honors every person’s unique pace.
What We Want to Do
We’re refining our service flows into warm, repeatable rhythms so more community members can lead with ease. We aim to deepen the narrative around food as medicine, shared at a table where everyone belongs.
Our Goals
Our focus is to bridge local farms and Durham tables, fostering an ecosystem where every plate nourishes both the guest and the grower, ensuring long-term health equity through dignified hospitality work.
Stipended Paid Work
We provide delicious, accessible farm-to-table food crafted through a hospitality-first, social-entrepreneurship lens—this is a product of real paid work in a model that values equity as much as flavor.
The Partner Ecosystem
Who we’re connected to: We are deeply rooted in Durham’s queer-led agricultural network and healing-justice circles. Our database connects real labor with local partners in food access, workforce development, and community health.
